A 27-year-old woman had shared a story on Reddit’s “AITA” subreddit. The woman had explained that her husband wanted a paternity test right after the birth of their daughter, and when the results came, she laughed at her husband’s face, as he was in shock.
The woman had explained that their baby was born with blonde hair and blıe eyes, while herself and her husband had brown hair and brown eyes.
Redditor wrote that after her husband saw their baby’s hair and eyes, he stated that the OP cheated himself, and immediately requested a paternity test, and threatened his wife with divorce. As OP was threatened with divorce, she accepted, but also tried to explain to her husband that some babies are born with blonde hair and blue eyes, and in time their hair and eye color would go darker.
As OP was released from the hospital, her husband went to stay with his parents until the results arrived. OP wrote, “My MIL called and informed me that if the paternity test revealed that the child wasn’t his, she would do anything within her power to make sure that I was ” taken to the cleaners” during the divorce. I had my sister to lean on and help me take care of the baby during this.”
When they received the results, and OP’s husband learned that he was indeed the father of their daughter, he was shocked. When OP noticed the shock of her husband, she said, ” I told you so.” And started to laugh at his face.
Her husband went livid and started to yell at his wife, and when OP’s sister went downstairs, he went back to his parents house to “clear his head.” Later, OP’s mother-in-law had called her and she yelled her too about how she could mock her son when he was down, after he learned the results.
OP concluded her post as, “She’s also left a couple nasty texts essentially saying the same thing this morning. I don’t think I’m an AH, but I’d like outsider perspective on this.”
