The legendary Hollywood actor, Christopher Lloyd, had appeared in famous movies as, “Back to the Future,” “Taxi,” and “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
As he had an illustrious career, Christopher had some problems in his relationships with women. But he found the love he was seeking with his fifth wife, Lisa.
Christopher Lloyd was born in 1938. He had started his career in 1961, at New York. He had appeared on “And They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers” by Fernando Arrabal.
In 1969, Lloyd had appeared on the Broadway with “Red, White and Maddox.” As he was mainly acting on the stages, Lloyd had appeared in the “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” as Max Taber, in 1975.
Then he appeared in the sitcom of 1978’s Taxi, where he received two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
And later, he appeared as the legendary scientist, Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown of the Back To the Future series. But Lloyd revealed that he almost rejected to be in the movies, as he was close to letting the offer of his role go after reading the script. Lloyd said, “I threw it in the wastebasket! I just wasn’t into it.”
After the movie was released in 1985, it received a huge success, and in 1989 and 1990, the movie continued with two more parts.
As he had an illustrious career, Lloyd had failed marriages in his romantic life. He was first married with his wife Catherine Boyd Lloyd. His romantic life surfaced when Catherine had sued him for not paying the alimony.
As he had struggled with his love life, he found love and happiness with his fifth wife, Lisa Loiacano. When he celebrated Loiacano’s birthday, he had stated, “You are more wonderful and lovely in my eyes than you ever were before; and my pride and joy and gratitude that you should love me with such a perfect love are beyond all expression. Happy Birthday my dear Lisa…you are my whole world.”
In his interview with The Guardian, Lloyd had shared his experiences, and the struggles he had faced.
He had talked himself as a method actor. He explained that sometimes he would turn into one of his characters while he was in home. The biggest fan of Lloyd, his wife, doesn’t mind him bringing the characters back home, and she is supporting him whenever he needs.
“Five is the last,” Lloyd said, while his fifth wife, Loicano was sittinh with him during the interview, where she was helping him when he had problems hearing with his hearing aid.
During the quarantine period of COVID 19, Lloyd and his wife, Loiacano had rediscovered themselves while they were at their home in California.
There is a twist in their story, which Loiacano is a hike friend with Lloyd’s ex wife, Jane Walker Woods. “Funny how life turns out,” Lloyd says about the occasion, and continues as, “I’m glad they’re having fun.”
Lloyd also explained that he is friends with the new husband of Woods, after himself, and shared that sometimes they would eat dinner together.
Lloyd had no children, but he has a stepson, Loiacano’s son. Lloyd was there at the wedding, when Loiacano’s son got married in 2023.
He had experienced a loss in terms of property, which he lost his $11 million Montecito, California house, where a wildfire had destroyed it in 2008. Lloyd was the owner of the house along with his ex-wife, Wood. He had talked about the experience and shared that the house was not able to be rebuilt.
The house was destroyed with the wildfire. The windows were exploded, the sections were destroyed. After he lost his home in 2008, Lloyd had built a country houme with an ocean view, which is 4,600 square feet.
The house has a pool, a spa, gardens and fountains with a big lawn.
85-year-old famous actor had thought about retirement. But his friend from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Taxi,” Danny DeVito had shared, “He’s an A-C-T-O-R,” for Lloyd.
As Lloyd has no problems with working on various roles, he explained that his choices were not based on the movie, but the things he can add to his character. Lloyd said, “I have to feel that I can do something with the part. I’m not that reckless.”
