King Charles is heartbroken, due to his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet is living estranged from him, where they are being raised in United States, after Royal Family and Prince Harry had some feud between them.
It has been a long time since King Charles saw his grandchildren, Lilibet and Archie. Robert Jobson, who published recently, “OUR KING: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch,” had stated that King Charles is longing his grandchildren, from his son Prince Harry.
Jobson had shared that Lilibet and Archie are “always in Charles’ heart,” even though he is having problems in his relationship with his son, Prince Harry.
“Unfortunately, due to the poor relationship with his second son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan, Charles has spent hardly any quality time with his other grandchildren, Archie and his sister, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor,” Jobson shared.
“But those close to him say they are always in his heart. It is one of the reasons he finds the estrangement from his second son so difficult to cope with.”
King Charles had visited his grandson Archie, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were living close to him, in Frogmore Cottage.
“A week after Archie was born in May 2019, Charles had gone to see Harry and Meghan at Frogmore Cottage and was thrilled as he cradled the baby boy in his arms,” Jobson stated.
“But even then, the Sussexes were planning their escape from the Firm.”
As Archie and Lilibet are living in United States, King Charles didn’t visited his grandchildren, and it’s been a while since he last saw them.
Since Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration, King Charles didn’t see his grandchildren, where Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet were present in the celebration. It was reported that King Charles was “absolutely thrilled” his grandchildren.
“It was fantastic to see them. It was wonderful to have them back in Britain,” a source shared, and added, “The prince and the duchess were absolutely thrilled to see them. He said it was also ‘very, very special’ for [then-Prince] Charles to spend time with his grandson, Archie, now aged three.”
“He hadn’t met Lili, his granddaughter, and so to meet her was very emotional, a very, very wonderful thing.”
Another source had shared that King Charles wanted to see his grandchildren during his coronation, and he was happy to see his son, Prince Harry, where he was heartbroken for not seeing Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet.
Some other sources had shared that while King Charles wants peace with Prince Charles, but Prince William doesn’t want to talk with his brother.
“Charles would want Harry and Meghan’s children there. If Harry and Meghan want to make an excuse, that’s their decision. If Harry wants to go to get an apology, then he can get lost.” Angela Levin, royal expert shared to The Sun.
There were reports of inviting Harry and Meghan and Lilibet and Archie to the Sandringham to spend Christmas, from King Charles. As King Charles wants to spent time with grandchildren, Meghan and Harry doesn’t want their children around the Royal Family.
Ingrid Seward shared that if Lilibet and Archie were present at the Christmas celebrations, it wouldn’t be a good time for King Charles, and the grandchildren.
“There’s too much going on, and he won’t be able to concentrate on them,” Sewards shared.
“It would be far better when he sees them in a quiet moment some other time during the year. They will want to come and see him because they’ve got to keep a relationship going.”
Michael Cole, royal expert had shared, “Christmas is supposed to be a time for families to come together,” and added, “Obviously, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex didn’t get the memo because they will not be taking part.”
“I must spare a word for King Charles. It must be very hurtful for him that he doesn’t see his grandchildren in California, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”
“That is appalling. I think ordinary families really ought to try and come together at Christmas time,” Cole had stated.
Express had reported as, “It pains him (King Charles) that he’s yet to meet Lilibet. He would love so much to spend time with Archie as well as Harry, whether it’s one-on-one or with Meghan there too,”
Michael Cole had added, “When the King asked Prince Harry and his wife to vacate Frogmore Cottage, Harry said, ‘Doesn’t the King want to see his grandchildren.’”
“Well, the fact is he is not seeing his grandchildren.”
“He has hardly seen Prince Archie and I am not sure he has even since Princess Lilibet more than once. It is a very sad state of affairs.”
