On the 14th of November, 2023, 59-year-old country singer Wynonna Judd had appeared on Grand Ole Opry’s live broadcast, where she had performed. But her appearance was a matter of question by her fans.
As it was unusual for Judd, she was reading her lyrics, and something was off in her performance at the stage, where the fans realized that Judd was not in her usual self.
There were many comments as, “Something is up with her,” “What’s wrong with her face?” “She doesn’t look like herself.” “She doesn’t know the words to her own song? I even know the words to this song. I think everyone does.”
“That wasn’t good, and she kept looking at the prompter for a song she’s been singing for probably 8 years.” Another fan said.
Judd’s CMA Awards performance was also criticised, as her fans were concerned for her. Judd had sang “Need a Favor,” with Jelly Roll, and her fans talked about her worried they were about Judd.

“Wondering if she’s having another severe bout of Vertigo. Looking down, holding on for dear life, and barely moving…makes sense.” “Why is Wynonna Judd gripping Jelly like that…and why is she screaming the words? It looks like she doesn’t even know the words!”
“I’m worried about Wynonna Judd on this opening song from the CMA Awards. She looked like she could barely walk, grabbed Jelly Roll’s jacket, and didn’t MOVE.”
“Is Wynonna Judd okay?” One fan asked, and the other comments were, “Right. The way she had ahold of him for dear life. Hope she’s ok.” “I noticed that. She looks frail. God bless her.”
As Judd read the worrying comments and concerns from her fans, she responded as, “I read the comments. And I’m just going to come clean with you all. I was so freaking nervous.”
Judd continued as “All is well!” And said that she was on her way to Texas, for her “Back to Wy Tour.”
As she had some tragic events in her life, she lost her mother back in 2022, due to a mental ilness. His mother was also her partner on the stage too, and after her passing, Judd and her sister were left devastated.
Five months after losing her mother, Judd talked about how she was doing, and talked about the mental illness, and struggels.
After losing his mother, Judd stated that she was going through the stages of grief, where she experienced acceptance and surrender.
In 2023, Judd shared from her Instagram account that she was suffering from Vertigo, “I am on the bus struggling with an extreme bout of vertigo and am unable to perform.”
“I know people who have had Vertigo had to crawl on the floor to be able to move around. Great job!” a fan commented, and another wrote, “I read that she has Vertigo. You could see how it was affecting her, and she still gave it 100%.”
“Vertigo is hell! You always feel like you’re going to fall or pass out! BLESS HER HEART!”
