Since 2022, Celine Dion is struggling with Stiff Person Syndrome, which took her from the stages, and caused her to cancel her tour more than once. As Dion had postponed her tours to the next year, on August her sister Claudette had explained that even with their never ending efforts, they couldn’t find a cure for Celine.
55-year-old legendary singer had gave hope to her fans with her appearance in November, where she attended to a hockey game in Las Vegas along with her sons.
Dion had shared pictures with her three sons from the hockey game she attended at Las Vegas, and she was seemingly healthy in the pictures she shared.
Sadly, the recent updates are not positive as her fans would like to receive. As it was reported by Radar Online, Dion’s vocal chords are not working, as she can’t talk or sing as she would like to. It was reported that she wants nothing more to be able to perform on the stages again.
She only wants her voice back, and Dion doesn’t even mind appearing on the stage with wheelchair.
As Celine is receiving treatment and care from a medical team, where her sister and three children are also staying with her, her other sister Claudette shared some news about her. On the last year, “She doesn’t have control over her muscles — and vocal cords are muscles,” Claudette shared.
“It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don’t know.”
A source also talked about Celine, where the source talked to Radar Online, and shared, “Celine would be content to just sit in a chair and sing to entertain her audiences,”
“But her voice is just not coming back the way that would allow her to perform or record again.”
“She has spasms in her vocal cords. She can sing fine — just like you know Celine for a few notes, then a spasm kicks in and throws what she’s singing completely out of whack.”
“Sadly, it’s doesn’t seem to be repairable — whether through surgery or therapy.”
